Most Lebanese online stores start the same way: the owner, a cousin, or one driver delivers every order. It works until it doesn't. Orders grow, the driver gets sick, and suddenly the business is spending more time on delivery than on selling.
Outsourcing delivery to a partner is the obvious next step. The fear is losing control: of the customer experience, of the timing, and of the cash.
What you actually lose control of (and what you don't)
When you hand delivery to a partner, you give up driving the route. You should not give up:
- Knowing where each order is.
- Knowing how much cash has been collected, and when you will receive it.
- Knowing which orders came back, and why.
If your partner can't give you these three things, the problem is the setup, not outsourcing itself.
Get the order handoff right
The most common mistake is the manual handoff: copying addresses from the website into a WhatsApp message for the rider. It is slow and it causes wrong deliveries. Your orders should go from your store to your delivery partner in one step, with the address, phone number, amount to collect and any notes.
Reconcile cash on delivery every time
Each time the partner settles, match their statement to your orders: which were delivered, what was collected, what was returned. Do it every time, not at the end of the month. If you run MAPOS, the orders, payments and returns already live in one place, which makes this check much faster.
Plan for returns
Decide in advance what happens when a customer refuses an order. Who pays the trip? How fast does the item come back? Does it go back into stock automatically? Clear answers keep your stock counts honest.
Choose the partner for your goods
A clothing store, an electronics shop and a furniture store need very different delivery partners. Match the partner to your products, your areas and your order volume.
How MAD Delivery helps
MAD Delivery is I-MAD's B2B delivery network. We match online stores with vetted delivery partners, and help connect your store or MAPOS setup to them so orders, cash and returns stay visible. We are not a courier ourselves.
Quick note: MAD Delivery works with businesses only. We do not pick up or deliver personal parcels, and we cannot take one-off delivery requests from individuals.
