For many customers, the delivery rider is the only person from your business they ever meet. A late, rude or careless delivery undoes everything your shop did right. That is why choosing a delivery partner deserves more thought than comparing prices.

Here is the checklist we use at I-MAD when we match a business with a delivery partner.

1. Coverage that matches your customers

Start with a map of where your orders actually go. A partner that is strong in Beirut may be weak in the North or the South. Ask which areas they cover daily, which ones only on certain days, and which they don't cover at all.

2. How they handle cash on delivery

Cash on delivery is still common in Lebanon, and it is where most problems hide. Ask:

  • How often do they hand over the cash they collect?
  • Do they give you a statement for each settlement?
  • How do they handle USD and LBP?
  • What happens when a customer pays the wrong amount?

3. Returns and failed deliveries

Some orders will not be delivered: the customer is not home, changes their mind, or refuses the item. Ask how many attempts are made, how fast returns come back to you, and whether you pay for a failed trip.

4. Tracking you can actually use

You need to answer the question "where is my order?" without calling the rider. Check whether the partner gives you live status, and whether that status can reach your own system instead of a separate app.

5. The right vehicles for your goods

Food needs speed. Furniture needs a van and two people. Fragile goods need careful packing and handling. Make sure the partner has the right setup for what you sell, not just the cheapest option.

6. Peak hours and peak seasons

Ask what happens on your busiest day. Restaurants care about lunch and dinner peaks. Online stores care about holidays and sales. A partner who is great on a quiet Tuesday may disappear when you need them most.

7. A clear agreement

Put the basics in writing: pricing by zone, settlement times, liability for damaged or lost goods, and how disputes are handled. A good partner will be happy to agree on this up front.

8. Fit with how you take orders

If your orders come from a website, a POS, WhatsApp or MAPOS, the handoff to the delivery company should not depend on someone retyping addresses. Every manual step is a chance for a wrong address or a missed order.

Where I-MAD comes in

MAD Delivery is our B2B delivery network. We don't deliver parcels ourselves. We match your business with a vetted delivery partner using the checklist above, and help connect your order flow to them so you are not chasing riders by phone.

Quick note: MAD Delivery works with businesses only. We do not pick up or deliver personal parcels, and we cannot take one-off delivery requests from individuals.
